Nisa Foundation

Nisa Helpline and Nisa Homes (formerly a part of the National Zakat Foundation Canada) are now unified under the esteemed umbrella of Nisa Foundation and serves as a pillar of support for all Muslim women and children across Canada, regardless of background and status. By harnessing the combined strengths of Nisa Helpline and Nisa Homes, we stand as the sole organization providing comprehensive, wraparound services tailored to empower Muslim women and address their needs as they navigate the unique challenges of domestic violence, homelessness, and mental health issues.

Since 2014, Nisa Helpline has received over 52,000 calls from our sisters struggling with trauma, mental health issues, and numerous other challenges and we’ve continued to be a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space in her time of need. Since 2015, Nisa Homes has grown significantly, establishing 10 shelters nationwide that have provided safe shelter for over 1,600 women and children.

Nisa Homes and Nisa Helpline have empowered thousands of women to reclaim their lives and independence, and by coming together we will multiply our impact by providing the safety, tools and support needed to thrive.
